Seaman Donald Galliford ( Keith ): suffering Anxiety, jumping at sudden noises. Pharmacist Mate Lewis Baker ( Matt ) Petty Officer 3 rd Class Eric Jones ( Brian ): suffered 20% Sanity loss leading to ‘Bout-of-Madness’ that began as inability to focus, to now seeking darkness because his eyes burn and sting. Seaman Horace Beatty ( Denny ): wounded by a ‘Servant’ centipede. June 17, 1945 : Lewis treats Horace’s wounds with stitching, morphine, and anti-fungal cream as the others scour the tank for useful gear. Donald distributes 2 flashlights as he keeps another for himself along with a crowbar. Patched up, Horace uncrates a demolition charge complete with fuse cord. Eric picks up a Tommy-gun but his itching eyes are too distracting, “Let’s get out of this sun.” Said not as a suggestion but rather explanation why he’s walking straight at the pillbox.  Horace falling inline behind, “Careful. Seaman Donald Galliford ( Keith ): Equipment Operator [Grease Monkey, Weird Science, Resourceful]; Insane DEX. Pharmacist Mate Lewis Baker ( Matt ): Corpsman [Egghead, Hardened, Quick Study]; Insane Accuracy. Petty Officer 3 rd Class Eric Jones ( Brian ): Engineering Aide [ Hard Boiled, Heavy Hitter, Gadget Repair], Cynical – violent, Afraid of dogs . Seaman Horace Beatty ( Denny ): Craftsman [Hard Boiled, Scary, Handy] Late August, 1944 : Donald, Lewis, and Eric spent over 2 weeks E&Eing thru the French countryside before finding the Allied lines for repatriation. Hospitalization in London (Donald and Lewis in the mental ward for a few weeks) before ship passage back to the states. Two days leave to visit family before boarding the train to the west-coast where they were shipped out to Hawaii for training in a new theater of operation. Lewis was able to keep the tome hidden. I’ll take our ‘guests’ to help remove the southern blockade so we can get the hell out of here. You’ve got 2 hours before I leave your sorry asses behind.” The German deserter Herman is more than happy to labor versus facing whatever evil lurks inside the Keep. As for Anna, the French maiden follows, always keeping the murderous Eric in sight, ahead of her.
